West Fire Construction & Restoration was founded by Mark J. West in 1985 and was incorporated in 1986. The company was formed to provide construction and restoration services for the insurance industry and its policyholders. It remains a constant presence in the construction community of Houston.West Fire’s original office was located in Houston, Texas. Currently, the Houston office not only serves as the local office for Houston-based customers, it also serves as the company’s corporate headquarters. Over the past 19 years, the company expanded to include offices in Austin, San Antonio, and Brownsville.

In recent years, West Fire not only expanded its facilities, but the services provided. With an incredible staff, including a group of professional Project Managers with extensive knowledge of commercial/residential restoration and construction, the company was able to add remodeling and room additions to its list of services. Additionally, with avenues to design architects and interior decorators, West Fire has the ability to assist its customers in designing a space that meets their every need. West Fire is committed to quality customer service and works hard to effectively communicate with all parties involved in the construction project.
All of West Fire’s Project Managers are experienced estimators equipped to provide the customer with free, detailed estimates for construction projects. These skilled Project Managers have extensive product knowledge and are able to provide insight into the latest building products, finish materials, and appliances to ensure the customer makes well-informed decisions about their project. The Project Managers have contacts with key personnel to provide outstanding quality workmanship through its skilled carpenters and tradesmen. All projects are overseen by the Project Managers from start to finish, allowing for a smooth transition from design to completion of construction.

West Fire Appraisal and Professional Services
In addition to restoration and construction services, West Fire made a name for itself by providing construction expertise to both insurance companies and the individual. West Fire is called upon to provide paid estimates when construction issues are complicated and above the experience level of those already involved. Mr. West represents countless parties with insurance appraisals and is considered by many to be one of the pioneers in handling the insurance appraisal process. He is an experienced witness and is called upon to provide expert testimony regarding construction issues for both insurance companies and individuals.
In 2003, the demands of this branch of the company grew to the point that Mr. West created West Fire Appraisal and Professional Services, Inc. West Fire APS handles all aspects of the appraisal and professional services needs of its customers.
