Fire Damage Do’s and Don’ts
Do’s:
- Limit the articles you touch to prevent soot from being transferred
to the items
- Keep you hands clean and don’t touch the walls or other woodwork
- Place a clean towel(s) down over your decorative rugs to prevent
people from walking on the rug
- Cover the furniture with clean old sheets
- Turn off the air conditioner to prevent soot from entering other
rooms in the house
- If electricity is turned off, place you food items in an ice chest
to prevent spoiling
Don’ts:
- Wash any fabric or wipe down any walls
- Attempt to clean the carpet, rugs or furniture
- Use any food items that have been stored in the pantry as they may
be contaminated
- Turn on any electrical fixture such as ceiling fans or lights as
the wiring may be wet
Water Damage Do’s and Don’ts
Do’s:
- Make sure the water source is turned off
- Remove as much water as possible with mops, sponges, towels, etc.
- Place blocks under the legs of the furniture to keep the furniture
off the ground
- Turn on the air conditioner or other fans to aid in drying
- Remove any wet carpet or rugs including the pad
Don’ts:
- Leave books or any other items with color on it lying on the floor
or wet surfaces
- Use your house hold vacuum cleaner to remove the water
- Use electrical items while water is standing on the floor
- Go into rooms where ceiling is sagging or falling down

Yes, we are fully insured and bonded, and will be glad to provide you
with proof of insurance directly from our carrier.

West Fire Construction and Restoration, Inc. was founded in November
of 1985. The corporation was formed in June of 1986.

While every project is different, we strive to deliver a quality product,
within your budget and delivered on time. The amount of time a project
takes is dependent upon multiple factors, most of which stem from the
trades involved (plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, electrical).

Yes, we can conduct business via e-mail and probably prefer to. With
the growing access to the Internet, we find email to be a smooth, fast
and effective method of communicating with our customers.

Yes, we are actively involved with the Greater Houston Builders Association
(GHBA), Remodelors Council, Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and
the National Home Builders Association (NAHB). We are also a registered
contractor with the Texas Residential Construction

Based upon the experience of our staff of Project Managers we have
completed projects of all types. However, every project is unique and
we strive to treat each job with extreme professionalism.

7 . Do you offer a written warrinty for your work?
We will provide a written warranty on completed work. Typically the
standard for a warranty term is one year. At this time, a set of warranty
standards are currently being formed for the construction industry by
the State of Texas. Once this is formed, we will adhere to

?
We have numerous trade references. Please ask if there is a specific

At this time we do not accept credit cards, however, we may look toward
